Ajman Free Zone, located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, was established in 1988. It is the smallest but one of the most developed free zones in the United Arab Emirates. The free zone of Ajman was established and obtained the status of autonomy from His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, ruler of Ajman under Amiri decree No. 3 of 1996.
